Based in her London studio and with an MA from Central St Martins, Emma D'Arcey creates hand marbled silk fabrics and papers suited to design reproduction for couture, interiors and installations.
Emma's creative practice focuses on pushing the boundaries and breaking the rules of the traditional art of marbling. she creates innovative and unique designs that are translated either by herself or by her clients into production. Her work is reproduced into weave, digital print and other surface applications to include glass, leather and ceramics.
Artwork can be commissioned directly from Emma's extensive archive or she offers a bespoke design service.
She is also co-founder of ao textiles, a textile consultancy, founded to further research and develop textiles in a more eco conscious and sustainable way.
Her experience ranges from creating an interior product based business through to designing for fashion, interiors and installations. Interior products have sold in Liberty London and many crafts council run galleries. She now sells her work for reproduction and licensing.
